www.mqm.org http Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain has strongly condemned the incident of firing outside the office of a private TV channel by unknown terrorists. The satellite van of the TV channel was also vandalized by the attackers. Mr Hussain said that elements behind the attack were the worst enemies of the freedom of press and media. Mr Hussain asked the Interior Minister Rehman Malik to dig out the culprits who were carrying out such acts of terrorism even during his presence in Karachi. He further demanded immediate arrest of the culprits without any regard to affiliation with any political or religious party. He said that parties indulging in terrorism and harbouring criminals should be banned. Mr Hussain said that it was a matter of grave concern that the incident occurred when the operation against extortion mafia in the city was about to start. Mr Hussain stressed upon Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik, Chief Minister Sin! dh Qaim Ali Shah, Governor Sindh Dr, Ishratr-ul-Ebad Khan, Interior Minister Sindh Manzoor Wasan, IG Sindh Mushtaq Shah, DG Rangers and to deploy police and rangers at the offices of cable operators in order to ward off any attack by the criminals.
